Welcome to the Arabic Alphabet Page

Again, another page with you, the student, in mind. In this page you will be able to have an access to how to write the Arabic Alphabet and also be able to listen to them. The Writing part will explain the different positions the letter could appear in. Try to look very carefully and practice by imitating the shape. Pay attention to the connection rules. All the words in the writing practice part are real Arabic words. The listening part is designed so you can practice listening and repeating these sounds in words. In this part there are words that I made up for practice purposes only and they do no exist in the language. The important thing is to listen to the word over and over again. This helps master the sound. Under the Listening part there are comparison charts for sounds that are confusing or difficult. Arabic alphabet are different from the alphabets of other languages BUT they are not hard to master. We do have non native speakers who can speak as well as a native speaker so if they can do it, so can you. Arabic needs time and dedication.
